学校介绍
福建医科大学是福建省重点建设高校之一，其前身是创办于1937年的福建省立医学专科学校。1939年改名为福建省立医学院。1949年改称福建医学院。1969年，与福建中医学院、华侨大学医疗系合并，成立福建医科大学。1982年更名为福建医学院。1996年4月更名为福建医科大学，教育部“卓越医生教育培养计划”试点高校。学校已形成学士—硕士—博士人才培养体系，成为一所集教学、科研、医疗、预防和社会服务为一体的省属医科大学。2003年，被福建省人民政府确定为重点建设高校。同年以良好的成绩通过了教育部本科教学工作水平评估。截至2014年9月，学校有上街、台江2个校区，占地1500余亩，校舍建筑面积40多万平方米。有教职医护员工9492人（含附属医院），在校生23500多人，其中全日制的本科生13000多人、博士研究生240多人、硕士研究生2100多人。
